In the Middle of the Trusting

Weekly Faith Fuel ~ by Kaley McCormick
"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6 AMPC

What a promise that is! Right?!
An amazing promise.
Although, that beginning part isn't always that easy or simple. Especially when everything around you is going crazy. Or when things aren't going the way you would've liked.
Trusting in the middle of the crazy, hectic, and exhausting battle.
In the middle of the fight.
In the middle of your confident hope when it's hard to muster up any hope.
In the middle of you walking out your faith when everything appears to be opposite of the promise.
Trusting that no matter how bad things appear around us, that God is good. That He has good plans. That He is taking good care.
Relying on His understanding which far surpasses our own.
Knowing that He knows the beginning to the end and He is holding every piece of it together with His strong hands.
We can have a weak moment. We are allowed to.
And when we are having the weakest of moments, that is when He can be the strongest in us. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
I can promise that leaning into and trusting the Lord with all of your heart (every area, even the dark scary areas) in every moment is well worth it. He is so faithful to carry you through.

So when you are having a hard moment, a human moment.. learn to go and reflect on who God is.
It's hard to trust someone you don't know. You question their intentions because you haven't developed a personal relationship with them. You don’t know how they respond to situations or circumstances.
So lean into God, dig into his word and learn who He is for yourself. Develop a beautiful, healthy, trusting relationship with Him.
He deeply longs to show you who He is. His nature.

Be encouraged friends. God is so good and so very faithful. He's holding your life in His hands and He has amazing things in store for you. Know that. Trust that! No matter what you're facing today!
It won't always be easy, but it will always be worth it.

Father, we thank you for who you are. We thank you that you never change. That you are the same yesterday, today and forever. That you are a good father and you take good care of your beloved children.
Help us to walk out trusting you with every area of our hearts and teaching us to lean into you and not our own understanding. We say yes to you and all you have for us today.
We love you. Amen.
